New Media Marketing

This month in my New Media Marketing class, I was reminded about the importance of having clear SMART goals for any marketing effort. Creating SMART goals, which stand for specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound objectives, highlights how essential it is to set clear intentions in a digital marketing strategy. I also discovered how to create an influencer program. The lessons this month were helpful in teaching me how to find and work with local influencers, which can help spread the word about Oo-de-Lally Coffee and connect with our audience on a deeper level. I learned effective ways to look for potential partners who share the same values as our brand. By working with these influencers, we can not only increase brand awareness but also engage more meaningfully with our customers. This experience has given me the confidence and tools to create a clear plan for our influencer marketing that I’m excited to put into action.

This coursework this month builds on what we've learned before about finding the right tone for a brand, understanding different types of audiences, and creating engaging content. This month, we’re connecting those ideas by exploring how to work with influencers and plan effective marketing campaigns. We’ll also highlight the importance of using data to measure our success and improve our marketing strategies, which is something we’ve touched upon in previous classes.

One area I am confident needs significant improvement for my case study company, Oo-de-Lally Coffee, is its search engine optimization (SEO) strategy. Currently, their online presence is underutilized, and they are missing out on opportunities to enhance visibility and attract more customers through search engines. Specifically, they need to focus on on-page SEO elements like keyword integration, meta descriptions, and alt tags for images. Additionally, it would be beneficial for them to build quality backlinks and increase their content marketing efforts to establish authority in the coffee industry. By implementing a comprehensive SEO strategy, Oo-de-Lally Coffee can effectively boost its rankings in search results and drive more traffic to its website. 

Oo-de-Lally Coffee focuses on community, connection, and great coffee. I hope that the lessons I learn moving forward will help to reinforce the brand's identity as a staple in the Castle Rock community.
